Éparpillées aux quatre coins du pays, c’est par un concours de circonstance inouï qu’elles se regroupèrent sur Montréal à l’été 2002, pour dévaler les rues ensemble, se réunir autour d’un repas ou partager une caisse de bière. Épousant la culture en entier, plusieurs jeunes recrues se sont joint à la troupe, qui depuis, ne cesse de grandir. Sans prétention, fausse glamour, ni jupette, elles sont les SKIRTBOARDERS. Vingt filles sur leur skateboard, une caméra, une ville et beaucoup de passion.

You can’t, however, accuse the skirtboarders of false representation! In the male-ridden universe of skateboarding, they thumb their nose at convention. Originating from all four corners of the country, an incredible chain of circumstances brought them together in the summer of 2002 to tear down the streets of Montreal, gather around a good meal and share a couple of beers. Embracing culture as a whole, several young recruits have since joined their ranks in this troupe that is ever expanding. Without pretension, false glamour or… skirts, they are the SKIRTBOARDERS: twenty girls on their boards, one camera, one city and a lot of passion.
