OK je sais, ce p’tit montage n’est pas récent et date de l’hiver dernier.  Mais je sais pas pourquoi je ne l’avais jamais posté avant!  C’est peut-être le retour du temps plus frais qui me rappelle que bientôt, on n’aura d’autre choix que de se faire notre session hebdomadaire au South Parc…  Anyways, le clip est cool et met en vedette Anne-Sophie Julien, Éloïse Théorêt et Ti-Pat Tremblay, une gracieuseté d’Empire.  Check it out!

Bien qu’aujourd’hui elle consacre la majorité de son temps à son travail de biologiste, Louise demeure pour moi LA pionnière du skate féminin montréalais…  De la Floride à la Californie en passant par le Brésil, elle courait les compétitions à l’époque où la catégorie “fille” n’était pas chose courante.  Alors pour ceux et celles qui ignoraient son parcours, voici quelques photos pour rendre honneur à son statut de “matante skateuse”. Yeah Loulou!

Although she now devotes most of her time to her job as a biologist, Louise remains for me THE pioneer of montreal’s female scene…  From Florida, California to Brazil and back, she ran to every contest in a time where the “girl” category was not a current thing.  So for those who were unaware of her background, here are a few pics to honour her “auntie skateboarder” statute.  Yeah Loulou!

Hier soir avait lieu le vernissage de la troisième édition de l’exposition La Paria au Cégep du Vieux-Montréal…  La Paria, c’est d’abord et avant tout un collectif d’artistes issus de la culture du skateboard.  Rassemblé pour la première fois en 2004 grâce à Zema et Frank Lam, le collectif ne cesse de se raffiner d’année en année.  La Paria, exposée jusqu’au 12 septembre au 255 Ontario Est…  Manquez pas ça!  D’ici là, voici quelques photos du vernissage, merci à Frank Lam.

Last night was held at Cégep du Vieux-Montréal the third edition of La Paria art show…  La Paria is initially a collective of artists resulting from the skateboarding culture.  Gathered for the first time in 2004 (thanks to Zema and Frank Lam), the collective doesn’t stop refining year after year.  La Paria, exposed until September 12 (255 ontario Est)…  Check it out!  Here are a few pics from last night’s event, thanks to Frank Lam.
